Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.”

The sleep was very peaceful and I woke feeling fresh like a daisy. Work started like usual, I also met travel agents and tried to understand the complaints and compliments of each. Like that days passed and it was time to head back to home (Nairobi).

The travel journey is great especially when you have the passion of learning and trying new things. Kisumu was a start to that, which was followed with a never ending list of cities and countries to explore and understand.

Travelling makes one a storyteller.. but with time I got tired of I now urged to come the ladder to be a ticketing manager. This position taught me things the very hard way. It was an explosion of knowledge which needed a barrels full of effort to understand the dynamics of fares and calculations behind the scenes. Soon I was headed to Singapore for training to increase my knowledge on the benefits of these dynamics to the airline. My usual hunger for an adrenaline rush took me to new borders for exploration. Like a tourist I took pictures to capture memories, and tried local cuisines to give my taste buds the test of verifying ‘variety is the spice of life ‘.

The time difference always kept me quite in the class during the morning hour sessions and the afternoons brought out the bubbliness in me. The working holiday would be short but very fruitful and i’d return back home with a wealth of knowledge and gifts that family look forward to.

This went on for 8 good years, soon things seemed monotonous and I craved for challenges. I decided to look for greener pastures and after an year of struggle, with a dream to work in Emirates, it gave me a stepping stone to ETIHAD AIRWAYS!!
