On 1st of June I started my new job with a clear mind to accept the challenges that life would throw at me. I got to the office to meet all the new recruits and have a great journey ahead. As it was the first day, a lot of reading and induction was done by the General Manager of Etihad, who was working in the background for many months before employing staff. I receive a call on a Friday morning for an interview that very afternoon. I thought of it as an April Fool’s prank and besides I wasn’t prepared to be interviewed in a Jetlink branded T-shirt and jeans. But the lady was adamant for me to attend, even if it was at 6:30 pm. The sleep was very peaceful and I woke feeling fresh like a daisy. Work started like usual, I also met travel agents and tried to understand the complaints and compliments of each. From finishing all training I wait in anticipation for the roller coaster of flying to start. First briefing and uniforms were handed and London bound was the first flight as mentioned. The journey was just too good. In Europe I was able to trolley around my cabin bag in countries like Paris, Madrid, Italy, Rome, United Kingdom, Amsterdam to mention a few. Dear readers, It’s been a while since I last wrote.. Exam fever is catching up and I have 14 days!! But I have always been the kind who reads at the 11th hour. Coffee, tea nor chocolate help me. All I need is some peaceful sleep to enable me to read in the early morning hours. Exams are here and I am ready, early to class and have settled, waiting for the papers to be distributed. Reminiscing School Days again !
Wishing you all a happy new year.. (Continuation from the last blog..) Travel is a journey of self-discovery. This is a reminder that while on the road I need to look for the little changes happening within myself. No doubt, travel molds us and I believe it molds me into a better person.
